Everything You Need to Bring on Vacation This Holiday Season to Look Your Best

Summer seems to be slowly fading away and the holidays are right around the corner, but if you are like me than you feel like you are in limbo between the excitement of summer and all the things there are to look forward to for the holidays. What I like to do around this time of year is book a vacation so there is something specific to look forward to. Of course, one of the best parts of booking a vacation is going shopping for new vacation outfits. This year there are so great trends in resort wear and other vacation fashions. The one thing you need to remember is that you can only bring what you can carry so it is important to bring just the essentials. If you are worried that you are going to pack or not bring the right outfits to wear, then you should keep reading to find out exactly what you need to bring.

A Pair of Dark Jeans

There are some items that every man or woman should have in their closet and one of those is dark jeans. I love True Religion jeans because they are well made and last a long time. The great thing about them is that they can be dressed up or dressed down. Throw on a button-down shirt with dress shoes to keep things classy. You can also pair them with a T-shirt and some sneakers for a more casual look.

A Good Pair of Sunglasses

Sunglasses are one of those items that I usually buy a new pair of before going on vacation. I tend to buy cheap sunglasses because I lose them so often, so buying a few pairs at once is the best way to do it for me. For vacation, you should bring a flashy colorful pair and a plainer black, brown, or metal pair that you can wear with anything.

A Button-Down Shirt

Bringing a button-down shirt is not only necessary for business trips or formal events, but you can use it as an over shirt, leaving it open with a T-shirt underneath, or you can tuck it in and make it a little more formal. Either way, it is versatile and will come in handy if you happen to be a little more dressed up for something than you thought.

A Sundress or Maxi Dress

I think that these are two of the most versatile dresses out there. Depending on where you are going and what the local culture is like, you might not be able to get away with wearing a shorter sundress so a maxi dress would work well in its place. I am on the taller side for a female and really love wearing maxi dresses because they tend to fall so nicely on me. A dress is another item that can be worn casually, or appear more formal if you add some jewelry and switch up the shoes you are wearing.
